What is the general process?  We consult with you regarding all work, giving recommendations within the project’s time, budget, and technical constraints.  After contract negotiation, we go to work developing a design strategy and do the required research to make the website design work.  We then brainstorm content flow, site navigation, user interaction, and functionality and draft requirements documentation.  We create for client approval a Photoshop layout showing graphics, navigation, and typography.  After approval, the layout is converted to XHTML and CSS templates for use in static or Expression Engine based sites.  If a Joomla CMS or Zen-Cart E-commerce framework is used, then customization of an existing site template is agreed upon and implemented.  From there, we install, configure, and customize the framework and add client provided content.  Additional software modules can be added and configured, based on client needs.  We later perform SEO (search engine optimization) tricks to pages and scripts to best rank pages on a site.  After requirements are met and final client approval is achieved, the site goes live.
